About me

I’m a Brooklyn-based writer, editor and consultant with more than three decades of online and print media experience.

My journalism focuses on consumer behavior, the fashion industry and retail business trends. I’ve also covered commercial and residential real estate, supply chains and the diamond trade, and written feature stories and gifts guides for publications including American Libraries and Newsday. My book credits include The Girlshop Guide to NYC Shopping and Zagat, and Business Insider has published some of my essays.

I also have an extensive background as an editor and editorial consultant. I launched both Fashion Dive and WWD Fast Magazine, and served as senior editor and consulting editor, respectively, during each publication’s run. I was also editor in chief of Sportswear International, where I oversaw a publication refresh. I’ve hired and managed staff, established and maintained budgets, and generally made magazines run.

In addition, I’m an instructor at Gotham Writers Workshop and a musician.
